My last blog is a few days ago already. Time flies!
On Wednesday we drove back from Tomsk to Novosibirsk. Our outreach was over L
On Thursday we went sightseeing in Novosibirsk with all external outreachers. Op donderdag zijn we met alle externe outreachers wezen sightseeën in Novosibirsk. De city was founded some 120n years ago. I don’t think the city is very atractive, but it was nice to travel through, learn things about it and buy souvenirs. I can now start Russian cooking the traditional way. For Friday only packing my bags and flying to Yakutsk were on the agenda. And from the moment we left OM I have tos peak Russian without my dear and faithful interpretator. Miss you, Oksana! But fortunately also the Russians have hands and feet, and so far I have managed to communicate what I needed and wanted to communicate.
Today I had a sleep-in and then went into town. Bought a map of Yakutsk in a mall, so that the chances that I get lost are minimal. I went to a supermarket to get some hotelsnacks, saw a nice church building and decided to go there. And this church haopened to stand next to the old fortress that formed the beginning of Yakutsk. So beautiful, I have to get back there to see more of it.
Daytime temperature is about –10, nighttime around -20 and the sun is shining (also at night, but at other places in the world, not in Yakutsk), and it is really wonderful to be outside.
