Today our main activity was visiting the elderly.

In the morning we visited an elderly lady who had moved from another part of Russia to Melnikovo to live nearer to her children. She refused to tel lus her age, it is not polite to ask a lady how old she is. But we’ve been told that she’s around 85. She does not feel happy in Melnikovo nor in the local churches. Before we left we were served a delicious lunch.

We held a little break in the Baptist church and then went to visit an older couple. Both have left their partner and they are now married. She is a Christian, his is not and does not intend to becoe one.

After a short visit we got in the car and drove to Tomsk for a seminar on financial health, organised by the Baptist churces of Tomsk.

We arrived back at our family at around 22:00 hrs and were served a warm meal to finish the day with.
